Lotus Foods, the leading heirloom and organic rice company, is excited to introduce an enhancement to their Organic Asian Rice Noodle Line with two even-better Pad Thai Rice Noodles in traditional and brown rice varieties. The products will launch at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA on March 13, 2024 at the Lotus Foods’ booth #1534 in Hall B.
Lotus Foods’ new Pad Thai Rice Noodles are now crafted with long-grain rice grown in Northern Thailand, for a more authentic flavor, springy texture and clump-free cooking. True to the Lotus Foods’ mission, the Thai rice is grown using practices that help to improve soil health such as:
- Soil coverage by compost, manure, and cover crops.
- Minimizing soil disturbance by avoiding inorganic fertilizers and using mechanical weeding instead of inorganic herbicides.
- Using rice straw leftover from harvest for animal feed.
In addition to these environmentally-conscious growing practices, the new noodles have achieved top ratings in consumer taste testing, preferred by 74% of all consumers. Lotus Foods current buyers are even more positive with 77% preferring the new*.
New & Improved Pad Thai Noodles:
- ORGANIC TRADITIONAL PAD THAI RICE NOODLES This popular classic Pad Thai Noodle is crafted from white rice, giving it a lighter color and a milder flavor. This rice noodle is perfect when cooking a more traditional Asian-style dish or when you want the flavor of the sauce to be the star. It also makes a great gluten-free pasta replacement.
- ORGANIC BROWN PAD THAI RICE NOODLES Leaving the germ and bran layer on the grain intact is what defines a brown rice. This not only enhances its nutrition by increasing the amount of fiber and nutrients, but also provides a fuller and nuttier flavor. Using a brown rice noodle adds additional depth of flavor to any recipe.
Lotus Foods offers a top-selling line of organic rice noodles that includes Pho, Udon and Soba noodles, rounding out a full array of convenient Asian noodle options. These versatile noodles are fast-cooking and flavor-forward, ideal for any style of cooking from classic stir-fries, soups, salads and spring rolls to creative gluten-free meals. They are the perfect base for your kitchen creations– just add your favorite protein, veggies, and sauce.
Additional Organic Rice Asian Noodles:
- Organic Traditional Pho Rice Noodles: Made with organic white rice, these blissfully delicious thin-style noodles are gluten-free and don’t even have to be cooked. Just soak in boiling water for four minutes until tender.
- Organic Buckwheat & Brown Soba Rice Noodles: Made by combining organic buckwheat with organic whole grain brown rice to create a beloved yet gluten-free Japanese-style Soba noodle.
- Organic Brown Udon Rice Noodles: By replacing wheat with organic whole grain brown rice, these popular Japanese-style noodles are now gluten-free.
- Forbidden Pad Thai Rice Noodles: This heirloom rice is treasured for its delicious roasted nutty taste, soft texture and beautiful deep purple color, which shine through in this exceptional noodle.
The new Traditional and Brown Pad Thai Rice Noodles have an SRP of $4.49 and are available nationwide.
